Ships That Still Exist Somehow (But Probably Shouldn’t)
The ships with the most interesting stories are not always the most dramatic or most famous ones, it's sometimes actually the ones that really shouldn't still be above sea level. In this episode we're going on a wild journey as we dive into the plucky ocean liners that beat the odds and dodged the scrapyard.

Titanic Conspiracy: The Full Truth | Part Two
Просмотров 112 тыс.14 дней назад
In the 1990s a new and explosive theory emerged, championed by an authour and enthusiast from England. Robin Gardiner proposed that Titanic never really sank at all; that in April 1912 it was actually the ship's sister, Olympic, that sank as part of a plot to cash in on insurance for the beleaguered owner of the liners, the White Star Line. Flash forward to today and the theory has picked up sp...

In the early hours of April 15th, 1912 the RMS Carpathia's lone wireless operator Harold Cottam picked up his headset for one last listen before turning in for bed. What he heard shocked him to his core; RMS Titanic, the newest liner of the White Star Line, was sinking fast. Carpathia's story as a hero rescue ship is a fascinating one, and in this episode we explore how the night of the disaste...

Yeah, I think even if they did manage to pull that off, there wouldn't be much anything recognizable left after all that stress being put on it. Especially after 112 years lying at the bottom of the North Atlantic with all that pressure and hurricane-like underwater currents battering it all to hell. There wouldnt be enough of her left to be worth the endeavor.

Oh please, they heard the calls for help alright. And german U-boats and Ships were known to provide help to enemy survivors after they were attacked and the vessel sunk. Until this incident. Something that none of the Allies did. The plane didn't miss. the entire mission was to blow up the passengers. you cant have Alllied citizens running about talking of german kindness when you are busy waging a propaganda war to demonise them, can you? Richardson did not act under "stress". A person advising on NATO was born to commit war crimes. I am sorry, but instead of Donitz, he should have been in jail, along with everyone else in the chain of command. To win a faux morality war we forced the Germans to abandon their generosity towards the enemy, brought down the standard of war to our genocidal level and then blamed Germans for it while refusing to hold our own accountable. Instead we awarded medals to our people for massacring cilvians. We rewarded the actual behavior of our side which we blamed Germans for and punished them for. A practice that continues to this day. There was a propaganda war at the time. US and Uk's plan to use Hitler to defeat Spanish Republic, France and eventually USSR (back then what we considered the "axis of evil") failed miserably after Hitler lost to USSR. After that we decided to enter the war to "defeat" Hitler. But sympathies for Hitler in the country were very high and they had to turn the people's sentiments against him. That is why the whole U-boat propaganda and the lies about German soldiers and war practises started. This incident seems to be a calculated tactic to start the fearmonegring against Germany to justify the absolute massacre of Germany we were about to engage in. It was more so to keep the machinations and backdoor alliance with Germany quiet as much as to claim stolen glory for the victory in the war that was already won. Remmeber, we already used theUSS Maine in Havana Harbor in 1898 to give us a pretext to start a war with spain. Then Uk used Lusitania for WW1. Later we would use similar tactic in Gulf of TOnkin. The same tactics seem to be at play here, with the U-boat hysteria,to justify entering the war. Eventually culminating with "someone" doing Pearl harbor. Cunard etc were like the Boeing and Lokheed Martin of the day. And these passenger deaths were convenient excuses like 9/11 to start wars. And the media did the rest to spread the fire of propaganda. Over time the ships changed to Planes and events like Lockerbee, MH17, Mh370 would be used for propaganda. I am sorry, but all this gepolitics and war has disgusted me to the core. I remember reading about the British pilots of WW2 who were ordered to target civilians in gernamy to "instil the terror of British planes in the minds of germans". I read about the French treating Germans as slaves. And after all that, we had absolutely no problem recruiting nazi scientists into our country. What an absolute bologne. And we like to demonise Hitler and he was evil. But I like how people forget that leaders of UK and USA at the time were much worse. But they are put on a pedestal and worshipped. We can have a discussion about war and what is good and what is evil. What irritates me the most is the double standard and projection that is always at play. I used to scoff at the "nonsense" tales I used to hear from the third world about British, American and French leaders. As people talk about Germany ordering ships to not aid "Allied" ships, people conveniently forget that it was "Allied" command that ordered their own civilians and enemy civilian cities bombed. That is was "Allied" forces that did a nuclear holocaust on a civilian population after the war was already won. Where was the accountability for all those war crimes. When "Allies" admitted that they had used the same tactics as the German U-boats did after the laconia incident, why was no one using those tactics held accountable and punished to the same degree? The more I read about these things, the more disgusted I get. Until I saw with my own eyes what we did in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somaila, Ethiopia, mail, Burkina faso, Ukraine, Vietnam and on and on. It was when I learnt about the truth regarding Gaddaffi that The glass house shattered for me. Then I read about Vietnam and it just completely reframed my understanding of propaganda in war. There were always things that didn't make sense in history (including WW2 and American civil war) and things that had gotten stuck in my head from conversations with people around the world. That is when I started reading about everything in history with a different perspective and man did it open my eyes. And we have seen this propaganda run rampant in Ukraine and Israel now too. Glorifying the people doing genocides while demonising those taking all measures to prevent senseless destruction. meanwhile our civilian massacre campaigns around the world are justified under "collateral damage". The only thing I believe now is WW2 saw the defeat of evil (the extent of which is questionable) by a much greater evil. And all we did was provide a new home and a rebrading for all the worst parts of nazism. Normally, I would give credit to this kind of content to correct propaganda. However, I think that between release of Oppenheimer, Dustbin Trudeau "honoring" Neo nazi Zelensky and and actual nazi in Canadian parliament on Yom Kiuppur - Oct 7th - the Day haams was terrorising Israel, this is just new propaganda to rehabilitate our definition of nazism to justify destruction of Israel., BEcause Israel no longer wants to be the launchpad for American wars against the middle east. It makes me sick to the core knowing We have been a part of all the sociopathic destruction of innocent lives, cultures and civlisations, mutation and misrepresentation of their principles and what they stood for; and we continue to do it more viciously by the day. I sincerely apologise to the entire world for our evil deeds.

The story of the woman being sent to the garden reminds me of where I used to work. I worked in Home Depot, which for non US viewers is a big box store. This one was unique in that it had a mezzanine with an elevator (due to the small size of the building). However, like all big box stores it was built on a concrete slab. Anyway one of the pranks played on new employees was to get something out of the (nonexistent) basement. One young lady fell for this hook, line and sinker. She got into the elevator and of course ended up on the mezzanine quite confused.

Not a ship, but there's an American PT boat that's been restored in Portland, Oregon that is open to the public. At the end of the war, nearly all of the PT boats in service were beached and torched. Because of their wooden hulls, there was nothing left to salvage from any of them but some small bits of scrap metal.

I don't think this is true, real survivers of the Titanic testify that there was a big explosion they herd. They never mentioned an iceberg. A picture was taken before the Titanic departed and there is a dark spot on the side, this segestes that the engine wasn't in good shape from the start and it had exploded.

The Titanic was sunk by the people that owned it😂. Unfortunately it was an insurance scam that worked out more in their favour than they ever could have imagined. All of their competition was on that boat. It was sunk on purpose and then the double win was that everybody's competition was on it. Now we have oil hierarchies such as the rockefellers and they got rid of homeopathic medicine at the same time

It did help! Once Storstad's crew realized that she was not taken on any water, the ship returned to the scene. By the time other ships arrived, most survivors had already been taken aboard Storstad. As for the consequences, it was the owners, not the crew, who faced repercussions for the disaster. More recent inquires into the disaster have stated that it was an unfortunate accident and neither ship can be held accountable given that it was an act of nature that essentially put them on a collision course

An insurance claim wasn't the only reason. Remember this because as we older people are buried, our learning and knowledge is often buried with us. I completely believe it was that it was swapped for the Titanic because the Olympic was damaged and there was no claim on insurance for it. Reportedly, a few men worked over the weekend to change the portholes and put on a nameplate over the word "Olympic". Indeed, at that time the name of the ship was always painted directly on to the sides. There might still be a video which was made of the wreck of the so called Titanic with the nameplate broken with one half fallen away and showing some of the name Olympic beneath. Look up the maritime accidents of the Captain. Why would they have put him in charge of the true Titanic? An alcoholic who had already damaged the Olympic and more. It seems it was his fault the Olympic and the ship it crashed into was previously damaged to the point of disrepair to meet sea worthy standards of the time. I read that a lot of the workers on board disembarked before it finally sailed for the US. They realised it was the Olympic. A call went out for replacement workers and the company lied they were striking for greedily wanting more pay. Unfortunately, many of those who took the jobs were foreign and didn't understand English enough when the original workers tried to warn them, and those who did understand English were told it was a lie to stop them taking the jobs. As for the deaths of those who were going to vote against the Federal Reserve, it was probably not intended they would actually die. Remember there was another ship close enough to reach them in time, but its Captain ignored the distress call because they were working for rival companies. The excuse was that the Captain of the nearby ship thought it was a ruse to divert them and ensure the "Titanic" reached the US first. Also there were enough lifeboats for the first class passengers, especially as the steerage passengers had been locked below! Many of the early boats were barely half full. It was pig headedness not to allow men or steerage passengers on the early boats with so much room to spare. Reportedly, a lot of the first class passengers wouldn't believe the "unsinkable" so called Titanic could sink until the situation was obvious, and that was why they wouldn't get in the boats at first. In addition, I read that it wasn't intended it would hit an iceberg. There was something planned to be done quite further along and a unexpected ship was seen simply not moving. Waiting to pick up at least first class passengers? Some accounts of survivors have said about hearing the "Titanic" hitting the iceberg. Others said they didn't hear it and didn't think it actually did hit it. Who knows what really happened? The bulk heads didn't go to the top as they are supposed to, so when not only one or two compartments were flooded with the water spilling over the top of the bulkheads, five of them became flooded. Probably cost cutting to not using so much metal to ensure water wouldn't spill over the top of one bulkhead to another. Not planned nor foreseen, as it was probably the same on a lot of the ships at the time. That the shareholders would die was probably not the intention. The delay would have been enough to ensure they weren't present for the vote. More likely it was a matter of not caring too much of they did die but it wasn't the explicit intention. Of course whether others died didn't matter to those who planned it. When the overly rich and far too powerful do a thing, especially a big thing, it is usually for more than one reason. Remember though that the shareholders who were going to vote against the Rothschild plans, weren't necessarily going to vote against because they had the public interest at heart. They might have had other reasons, such as the Rothschilds gaining far more power than they themselves would have. Perhaps they wanted a better deal for themselves. I doubt we will ever know their reasons but they were unlikely to have been very conscientious about the average Jo and Joanna Blogs. My 1920 father heard it was the Olympic when he was young. Of course his parents, my grandparents, were old enough to remember it when it happened, and word got around those days even without it being in the papers, and people not having TV's, radios or the Internet. From the way my father spoke, it seemed it was quite common knowledge but of course never officially admitted to. Reportedly, a number of very rich and powerful people mysteriously cancelled their tickets shortly prior to the sailing. The word was that they had received a warning to not go on. Didn't we hear a number of ()ewich people were telephoned on the morning and told to not go to work at the Twin Towers? Probably not all ()ewich people, not the poor and 'inconsequential'.

I believe you missed addressing a vital point regarding the increased efficiency resulting from bulbous bows. Just because you get two bow waves annihilating one another does not adequately explain how the ship can attain the same speed with less power. The energy has already been transferred to the fluid; it is lost to the ship. What happens to it afterwards cannot directly explain why a bulbous bow makes the ship more efficient. Another explanation is required. You should've mentioned that without a bulbous bow, a ship would perpetually have to climb its own bow wave, and *that* is the reason the bulbous bow actually works, and why having it in certain speed brackets is actually detrimental to efficiency - if the waves can positively interfere with one another, the bow wave actually increases in size, and the ship has to work harder to accelerate through - or rather, over it
